I am excited to announce that I am starting a new accounting business. For now, it's just me and, of course, my dog Halia who is usually by my side. You can see on my website that I will be offering all kinds of accounting services. If you don't see what you need listed, please contact me. I still may be able to help you. I promise that I do my best to respond to emails, texts, or voice messages within a day.
This year has been such a terrible and strange year. We have seen friends and family become ill or pass away and some of our favorite businesses close. We cringe when we hear those common new phrases like "social distancing" and the "new normal". Instead of spending all my working hours doing tax returns the first few weeks of April 2020, I was trying to learn as much as possible about the CARES Act and in particular the PPP loan. Helping businesses get through the shutdown meant we would still have clients. These were stressful times for all of us.
Starting a new accounting business was another way to help the struggling businesses on Maui. With little overhead, I am able to charge less than firms with separate offices and administrative assistants.
